The Terre Haute Humane Society (THHS) plans to construct a low cost veterinary clinic adjacent to the existing shelter facility at 1811 South Fruitridge Avenue. The clinic will offer low cost spay/neuter services, vaccinations and basic vet care to the public and provide vet care and spay/neuter services to the shelter.
Since the SPOT Clinic closed in early 2021 there has been no consistent options in Vigo County for low cost spay/neuter and vaccinations for cats and dogs. THHS performs approximately 10 to 12 public spay/neuters per month with appointments booked out 3 months in advance. THHS is limited by the size and setup of the Shelter’s surgical suite and not having a full time vet on staff.
